Itinerary
Section 1: Suwon Hwaseong History Tour (09:00 - 12:30)
Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Tour (09:30-11:00): Start from Paldalmun Gate, trek along the fortress wall path, view Suwon city from Seojanggdae, tour scientific defense facilities of Joseon Dynasty (Geojunggi crane, Nokro pulley). Hwaseong Haenggung Palace Visit (11:10-12:00): Palace filled with King Jeongjo's filial piety, watch martial arts demonstration by Jangyongyeong warriors, stroll through palace gardens. Hwaseong Museum (12:10-12:30): Understand the history of fortress construction and King Jeongjo's reform politics.
Section 2: Traditional Korean Lunch (12:30 - 13:30)
Lunch at Suwon traditional market or Korean restaurant: Choose from Suwon Royal Galbi, Sundae, or traditional Korean set meal. Market exploration and snack experience (traditional rice cakes, hotteok, etc.).
Section 3: Korean Folk Village Joseon Dynasty Experience (14:00 - 17:00)
Traditional Village Tour (14:00-15:00): Recreation of Joseon Dynasty village structure including noble houses, commoner thatched cottages, government offices, village schools, blacksmith shops. Explore over 270 traditional houses, compare lifestyles across social classes. Traditional Performance Viewing (15:00-16:00): Farmers' Music - exciting rhythms of folk music and traditional percussion, Tightrope Walking - thrilling tightrope stunts by Joseon Dynasty performers, Martial Arts on Horseback - spectacular martial arts demonstrations on horseback.
